Members' Stories

Here are stories of how some of our members became followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

KeruppaKeruppa has been a member of Grace Redemption Fellowship since 1999. He is married and has five children: three daughters and two sons.

He has recently been visiting the welfare camp at Kilinochchi in the troubled North East of Sri Lanka. The camp has been set up to house people displaced or left homeless by the recent conflict. He has been going there to offer practical help and to tell people of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Soon, he is hoping to move to that area with his family to establish a new church.

NaghalinghamNaghalingham was one of the first people to come to the church. He was a devout Hindu and actively opposed Christianity for many years. Pastor Kethees spoke to him frequently about the Lord Jesus Christ but Naghalingham always argued with him.

Then a struggle came in His life. He wanted to find out who is the real God.  One day, reading a newspaper article about Hinduism, he came to realise that the real God is to be found in Jesus Christ. He began to come to the church and devoted his life to Him. He is now a leading member and teacher in the church.

RosalineRosaline came into contact with  Grace Redemption Fellowship after the Tsunami in 2004. With money provided by friends in the Northern Ireland they were able to repair her home. They also told her about he Lord Jesus Christ. She realised that it was God's grace that saved her from the tsunami when many around her had died and she came to know that God could also save her from sin and judgement. She asked Him to do that and found joy in the midst of her sorrow.
